Here at Northwest Georgia Credit Union, we pride ourselves on having honest, friendly, and dependable employees. However, two of our employees will be carted off to jail on October 2nd.
The culprits? Branch managers Jerri Knowles and Leslie Fuller. Their crimes? Having big hearts. They are participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock-Up event, where they will be “locked up for good.”
The Lock-Up is the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s premier fundraising program. These high-profile events occur all across the country at various times throughout the year. All funds raised by the MDA Lock-Up assist the Association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics, and accessible summer camp experiences to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
If you would be interested in helping Leslie and Jerri make bail, NWGACU can help! You can visit their Jailbird websites here or here to make a direct donation, stop by either branch location to give your spare change to the cause, or even stop by either branch on Friday, September 27, for some goodies at our Bake Sale!
We know how wonderful it is to help people in need. Best of all, all the money raised stays local. It supports the annual summer camp for kids suffering with muscular dystrophy, clinic visits, repair and maintenance of wheelchairs and leg braces, and lifesaving research for 43 neuromuscular diseases.
